Hi, I'm John Rathauser
John Rathauser provides psychotherapy to adults and older adolescents through his clinical practice in Kendall Park, New Jersey. When supporting his clients, he helps them understand and cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and other mental health issues. Further, John Rathauser has a special interest in couples therapy and intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy. A professionally engaged provider, he belongs to the New Jersey Psychological Association.
In preparation for his career, John Rathauser enrolled at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. He graduated with his doctorate in clinical psychology. Continuing his education, he secured his certifications in child psychiatry and analytic group therapy through the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in New York City. Dr. Rathauser’s training also includes a period at the Institute for Relationship Therapy, where he earned certification in imago therapy. From 1994-2002 he was a member in training with Habib Davanloo, MD, in the Montreal Core Training Program in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). Dr. Rathauser is additionally involved in training professionals in two core training group programs in Los Angeles, CA.
Early on, Mr. Rathauser studied at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, where he secured his bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in English.
